Forever freedom
The free time we have is an enormous advantage we need in our busy lives. However, it becomes difficult to make this time for ourselves. But you can use your time to work better or to spend more productive time with yourself. These are some ways on how to utilize the free time.
1. Read a book or a magazine to distract yourself. (For example, read a page in the newspaper, watch a movie, or take a coffee break.) There will be so many distractions out there in today’s world, and having only one thing that we can control it to distract us from all of them. In addition, reading a good book or watching a TV series can always be entertaining.
2. Don’t forget about those who don’t like doing their homework. Most people have no focus at all today and I am not talking about young kids or teenagers. No matter what age you are but someone who doesn't want to do his homework has no chance to succeed because he is too much distracted by technology. Nowadays, everyone is obsessed on social media, video games, etc… I really don’t know anyone who likes doing his homework. Why? Because someone else's doing that has more interest than you. Instead if someone wants to have a good grades it must have the passion or hobby in doing their job. So the person who doesn’t like going to school should have the reason for not learning but a hobby in doing things or whatever passion they have. It doesn’t matter that person doesn’t want to be famous, that doesn’t mean they don’t have any passion in their work, so they just need a hobby to work towards a goal.
3. Watch movies or web series for relaxation. Some of the main characters in these movies are heroes who save people. But it’s a different case when we want to watch a new tv series in the same genre as a movie and this character is like two villains fighting each other over the money and power. This character is supposed to be very evil and dangerous, if we watch such a show we should never love him, we should enjoy his evilness but should avoid hate and fear.
4. Drink coffee. We should stay away from the news because what we get in the news is just bad thoughts. The real problems are from real life. That means we should drink more caffeine to prevent these bad thoughts. And by having a cup of red wine is also good for us but it’s better to have green tea instead of coffee. If you want to get your energy level up instead of drinking green tea.
5. A workout. When our body feel tired and the next day we have so many activities, we should exercise until we feel more energetic and active. Exercise is also very important because we can lose weight and feel good after exercise. If we have a lot of working places like a company, office or public place a workout is a really good way to get away from all of them and enjoy our own free time.
6. Take a walk. You can use this time to relax and you can do whatever you want to do. Walking will help you to get lost in the nature and the beauty of the street. Another best way is to go to the supermarket and buy something that you like. It might just be a sandwich but most of the stuff will fit your pocket. You can even have a small car while walking around the neighborhood. When you start enjoying your own life without having to worry about anyone.
7. Go to bed early. We have so many responsibilities in our life, we should get rid of them one by one. Getting rid of responsibility also makes our sleep better. To relieve the stress and burden, sleeping early helps us to get rid of all the negative thoughts in the mind. We should try to go to bed before 9 pm every night.
8. Spend time alone with yourself, this free time can use to give us many moments to think creatively about our lives. Spending time alone with yourself especially in silence can be useful to reduce your depression and anxiety.
9. Be present. For me, spending my time alone with myself doesn’t mean sitting on a sofa or sitting in my room alone; it includes listening to music or a video on YouTube to relax and distract myself. Doing everything by myself is just a waste of time but sometimes if you want to enjoy the moment to your fullest and can be creative instead of having all these unnecessary worries in the mind. You need to be present and be in the moment, when we are alone with ourselves we should try to be more present and attentive.
10. Try meditation. This free time is an important tool for the development of mental health, we should try to meditate and get into a certain rhythm or posture. Meditation always helps us to get out of our minds and concentrate on the moment.
11. Use books. Books can be so simple to write down everything we need to. Writing a book can make us successful. When we need to learn something it is the right time to take action, start writing.
12. Do yoga. Yoga is a great science and health tool to fight depression, stress, anxiety and many others. As yoga is a kind of spiritual activity, these tools have been proved to help people, it’s just that we don’t realize they are useful for us so we don't have to think about it. I had a Yoga instructor, he helped me to deal with the issues I was having in my life in a very nice way, even though I have no idea whether he will be able to treat me or not, I still have a positive attitude about it and I believe in it. So I would like to start trying it, just need a second of my attention and some time to learn.
13. Write down your dreams. Every dream that we have will be related to it, we shouldn’t live our dreams. If our dreams are unrealistic then we will face problem all these times. So maybe when a kid has a fantasy to become president, when we find that we shouldn’t make our dreams that big, and we always see people who are more successful than us. We should try our best to make our dreams come true and to stay optimistic.
14. Keep track of what we have done. We should keep a log of what we have done and by adding these words “I wrote” it reminds us about our past successes. It may sound silly but it helps to keep track of the progress and it helps to understand where we are now and what we have achieved.
